Black and White

A little girl was attending a wedding for the first time, and marveled
at the decorations, the music, and especially the bridal gown.

"Why is the bride dressed in white?" she whispered to her mother.

"Because white is the color of happiness," her mother replied. "Today is
the happiest day of her life."

The child thought about this for a moment, and then asked, "Why does the
groom wear black?"
